Welcome to my Home Page! Are you lost, or did you actually mean to come here?
You want to know where you are? Well, you're in Scotland.

Edinburgh to be precise. Home of the Edinburgh International Festival and all things *cultural* (or so we claim).
If you're just surfing, you may wonder who I am.
Name - JETTE GOLDIE (pronouced Jet). A long story.
Old enough to know better. Older than I look. Younger than I feel sometimes.
Having had a varied career, starting in Banking, to Journalism, to Hotel and Catering, then trying to run my own dressmaking and costumier's business, I'm now a middle-aged Scottish Civil Servant, working hard not to appear a middle aged civil servant! (but I don't mind the Scottish bit)
Interests - Varied.
Science fiction and fantasy - in many different incarnations. Books, comics, tv, movies. Favourite tv shows at present include.
Star Trek (TNG mainly) Really, need I say more? I grew up with Kirk, Spock and McCoy, fell in love with Jean Luc and am now following the adventures of the "prequel" Enterprise
Babylon 5 This show seemed to break all the rules, an American made SF show that had (shock!) continuity and demanded regular viewing, but is probably now recognised as a "classic".
Stargate SG1 - Considering I started watching this "just for one episode" to see what "McGyver" was up to these days, I've stuck with this show a long time - 8 seasons so far and a spin off series, "Stargate:Atlantis".
Battlestar Galactica (the new series 2004) I was a fan of the original series. This is very different, but very good. I even like the new female Starbuck.
Highlander the Series - my major obsession, the show that got me addicted to the internet too! Six seasons of excellence and a fine follow up in Highlander:The Raven. Me and Amanda? She's my role model! ;-)

For fans of Highlander who are keen to know more of Scotland, I drew up a short tour itinerary of places that are of interest to Highlander fans.
The Highlander Fan's Tour of Scotland.
Dressmaking and other fabric engineering. I love creating historical and fantasy costumes - but I'd rather be visually interesting than absolutely authentic.
Writing. One day I'd like to be published. For now you can check out my fanfiction at
- I am owned by two cats at present. An elegant lady tortoiseshell called Apache and a mischevious black and white rascal called Dakota. Do take a look at my kitties.
Music. Folk, filk (sf and fantasy music) and Blues. One of my favourite blues musicians also happens to be my favourite actor in my favourite tv show
Adventures
why not check out this site to see what else I get up to?
I can also be found holding court on my Live Journal page The Howl (a Wolfette Abroad)
